LOVE, LAW & Order

Description
When Asia’s police officer best friend confessed his attraction to her, she gave into fears and doubts and pushed him away. After all, she had a plan for her life, and that included taking a new position in Ocean City, Maryland, far away from family and friends.

Sean has loved Asia for a long time, but when she rejects him, he figures he’s destroyed a friendship that has lasted for years. When a lateral move brings him to the OC Police Department, Sean sees another opportunity to win over the woman of his dreams. Even a life-threatening situation will not stop him from making Asia a permanent part of his life.

Excerpt:
Asia opened the door slowly, trying not to look too happy. She didn’t want Sean to misread her excitement for something else. Masking how she really felt, Asia greeted Sean with sarcasm. “Well, about time. You said you would be here at five. It’s almost six, Ocean Boy. I thought police officers could tell time.”

Sean grabbed her into a tight hug without saying a word. They stood in the door hugging for about ten seconds.

“What’s wrong, Sean? Are you okay? You’re concerning me now. Let’s get out the doorway. Plus, I’m too close to your gun, and that’s freaking me out. I don’t want it to go off on me.”

Sean walked her inside the apartment while still hugging her and holding his bag in one hand. He slung the door shut behind him with his foot. “You’re still crazy, woman. You carry yourself nice and professionally, but you’re still crazy. You looked nice in your suit today at work.” Sean studied her face. “I’m fine, Asia. I just missed you terribly. I haven’t been the same since I lost my best friend.”

Watching and listening to Sean made Asia remember old times. She turned to the side grabbing her hair to pretend to swing it out of her face while wiping a tear from her eye in the process. Just looking at him made her heart ache with longing. I tell you the truth, I miss this man, but I refuse to express how much.

Sean looked at the table and noticed the set up. “Pizza and wine for me? You have it all neat and nice. Wow, you must really miss me, huh?”

“Calm your road a minute. It’s not wine, it’s Apple Cider, and I eat pizza all the time. This is how I entertain. Take your shower, and let’s get our groove on,” Asia demanded. She sat on the sofa.

Posing in a relaxing stance, Sean narrowed his eyes as he watched her. Asia picked up from his facial expression he thought she was making a proposition.

“I mean, let’s talk, not groove as in getting busy. Get your mind right, Sean. You know I’m not like that. You already know how I feel about that. Nothing’s changed.”

“Yeah, yeah, I heard it before. The words are still ringing loudly in my ears from the last time you told me.”

LOVE DON'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE

                                                By Shelby Clark

IT'S HERE!... October 2012....

When Cierra left the United States to move to London, she put the troubles with her ex behind her. Her position as a manager and the house in central London gave her the first sense of peace she'd known in a long time. Taking a self-defense class at the health club turned out to be just what the doctor ordered, because sexy martial artist and former police officer Aiden Sakai was her instructor. Cierra couldn't believe it when this Asian hottie asked her out. With a new love and a new life, things couldn't get better--until Cierra's past came back to haunt her, not only putting her in danger but Aiden as well.

HERE'S AN EXCERT...

CeCe buzzed Aiden in the main door of her apartment building. “Hey you! How are you? I’m glad you’re here. I hope you’re not in a hurry. I wasn’t sure how I should dress.”

She could hear him coming up the steps to the second floor. CeCe met Aiden at the door with her silk, thigh high robe on. “Hello, Aiden, come in and have a seat. I showered already. The only thing to do next is to slip my clothes on. There’s three outfits lying across my bed. I didn’t know where you were taking me so that prevented me from knowing how to dress. I’m really sorry for backing out on dinner last week. I needed more time to get my bearings. Plus I like to feel fresh when I go out. After class I really felt sweaty and, you had the class stretching and running between every at the end. I wasn’t expecting that.”

CeCe rambled on and on as she walked around her apartment. It wasn’t until she finished her last sentence that she noticed Aiden was speechless with his jaw hanging as he observed every curve through her see-through robe. She looked down and realized she grabbed the wrong robe in her hurry to answer the door. “Oh no, close your eyes, Aiden! I’m so embarrassed!” CeCe ran to her bedroom.

Aiden jumped to his feet and called for CeCe. “No, CeCe, don’t be embarrassed. You look heavenly. I haven’t seen such beauty in a long time.” Aiden’s hormones came to a standing ovation. He walked slowly toward CeCe’s bedroom. He stood outside the door and tapped on her door. “CeCe.”

“Yes.”

“Open the door.”

“I can’t. I’m too embarrassed. I can’t believe I grabbed the wrong robe. I didn’t intend to do that. You must think I’m one of those fast women down at the health club. Well, I’m not! I don’t get down like that, and I don’t give it up to anyone.” CeCe went into defense mode.

“I know this already, CeCe. I don’t look at or think of you in that manner. I mean I did look at you! I couldn’t help it. What a delight! I mean I never thought of you in the same light as the women at the health club. Open the door so we can talk face to face. I don’t like talking through doors.”

CeCe opened the door. She looked up to the tall statue standing before her. “What should I wear tonight?” She tried to smile to ease her awkward feeling.

Aiden stepped over the threshold of her bedroom. “Tell me to get out if you want me to.”

Tell him to get out. You’re not ready. What if he finds out about you! I can’t. I want him so bad. “No. You don’t have to leave, but won’t we be late for our date if I don’t get dressed now?”

Aiden leaned forward, nearing CeCe’s lips. “You’re already dressed as far as I’m concerned. Your entire outfit is very fitting and very much appealing to the eye. You have no complaints from me.” Aiden pulled the belt loose from CeCe’s robe. He ran his hands gently up her arms to her shoulders to part the robe from her body.

CeCe closed her eyes. I’m dreaming. Is this really taking place? This Japanese man is about to…

UNEXPECTED
 LOVE
By Shelby Clark

Casey Tylia Shaw, or TC, as she liked her friends to call her, had a hard life from the beginning.  Her absentee father and drug-addicted mother taught her to fend for herself and not to trust anybody.  She never knew love and didn't dare to let a man touch her body, not after all she's seen.

Everything changed when she encountered Seth Howard, an instructor  at the University of Tampa.  One hot kiss from the sexy professor had her rethinking the walls she put up to guard her heart.  A whirlwind affair in Rio and a secret from her past turns TC's life in a direction she never expected.

Here Is An Excerpt...

The professor took another step closer. Face to face with TC, he lowered his tone to a point that sent shivers up her spine. “Well, Ms. Shaw, I thought I could talk to you like a civilized adult, but I see that is pointless. The words you use to express yourself are cutthroat and mortifying. I’ve seen your grades as well as your GPA, very impressive, but the way you choose to conduct, handle, and demonstrate your knowledge, comprehension, and understanding of circumstances disappoints me. I really expected more of you.”

Professor Howard seemed to study her every move. She felt her breasts bouncing against his chest as she waved her shoe in the air, as if it was helping her to pronounce her choice words, along with the hardening of her nipples as she stared into the eyes of this tall statue. TC knew she was at a point of no return, but she was also intrigued by what really might be on the professor’s mind. She wondered why he tried to figure her out and why his gaze appeared to be locked on her assets.
She knew too well how men liked admiring her curves, but that was usually black men, not white. Maybe she just never paid attention. She thought she saw the professor take a glance or two at her playground, admiring her twins, but she wasn’t sure if it was her own hormones getting the best of her. Before she realized what she would do, she was embracing him and curled her tongue with his.

With her eyes shut tight, her head spun as if she was in a dream, and liquid passion filled her lacey thongs as Professor Howard welcomed the kiss and pulled TC in closer. She could feel his sculptured hardness as his body pressed against hers. Excitement and fear flooded her mind. While still engaged in a passionate kiss, the professor lifted TC up to allow her to wrap her legs around him tight. He pulled her closer to grind against his erection. Oh yes, this feels so good. What I’m I doing? I don’t want to stop. I must, this can’t be, it’s not right. I… I can’t give in to this wonderfulness…

TC pushed away from the professor, jumped to her feet, and returned to her rage, a safer place than the passion she’d been about to give into. “Where do you get off? You don’t know me from Eve. I don’t owe you a damn thing. Mr. High and Mighty Professor Seth Howard, I don’t have to prove myself to you or anyone for that matter. You are nothing to me. You need to get your own life straightened out before you try to work on mine. I also wouldn’t think too much on or put too much into that kiss. Don’t you ever touch me or put your lips on me again!”

TC knew she better soon hurry out of that billiard room because the more she looked at those sexy eyes the more she felt her armor breaking down. Her emotions stirred sexual desires she hadn’t felt in a long time. She began to feel weak and knew if Seth Howard touched her one more time or brushed against her, she would just melt in his hands. She looked at that curly coal black hair and wondered how it would feel running her fingers through it, or how it smelled, then shook her head to get rid of the thought.
